A fertility clinic based in Cleveland experienced a potentially harmful temperature malfunction which could affect thousands of frozen eggs being stored there for hundreds of women. The effects of this temperature rise can only be checked by thawing and implantation of the eggs, a step which many women may not yet be ready for. This event is likely to cause much conversation about the liability of the fertility clinic and the moral responsibility of implanting eggs which may be biologically damaged as a result of this temperature rise.
