"Barbra Streisand Cloned Her Dog. For $50,000, You Can Clone Yours" from New York Times

Barbra Streisand in a recent interview by Variety magazine revealed that two of her three dogs were clones of her deceased dog, Samantha. The two clones, Miss Violet and Miss Scarlet, were created from the mouth and stomach of the deceased dog. To clone the dogs she paid around $100,000 and this service is available to the public through the company, ViaGen Pets.​
